Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

The chicken was fatty. It was of very poor quality. The staff was very nice and they do a good job at keeping the tables wiped down. They often run out of chicken an hour or so before closing. That can be pretty disappointing when you have fried chicken on the mind.

I normally love a stop at Popeyes, but the experience here wasn't good. Long wait to order. When I finally ordered, I requested barbeque sauce, they're out. No problem, ranch is fine. I was given incorrect change and told she didn't have the coin to give me exact change. 13 cents difference, I shrugged it off. Next, after my order was already taken, I'm told they are out of spicy wings. Okay, regular wings are fine. My order comes up and I'm missing a Mac and cheese. I request my missing side and of course, they are out. Why wasn't I told before I ordered? Frustrated I chose another side. When I get to my table I realize they've given me tartar sauce instead of ranch. Seriously? Back to the counter. 5 minutes later I finally have my ranch. I hope my stop wasnt an indication as to how this location normally operates, because this was one of the worst experiences at a fast food place I've ever had.

I’ve been going to this Poppaw’s for years I would say the last 2 to 4 years has been terrible. We try to go at least a few times a month and at least half of our visits always end up with them stating it’s going to be 20 minutes for chicken or they’re out of red beans and rice or they’re out of mashed potatoes. The times we do get to order they are always in there laughing and screaming at each other while we wait at the window, by far the worst Poppeyes over the years, I am washing my hands with them🤷🏻‍♀️

They are doing it right, delicious food (I don't like fast food) polite and friendly staff. They are genuinely polite! Thank you for a delicious meal and smiles!

This location is one of the best. Chicken is always hot and yet moist. The sides are great my favorite is the cole slaw creamy and crisp. All locations are not the same but this one takes obvious pride in the food they put out.

Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. But have the sides gotten smaller or is it a figure of my imagination....

Rude drive thru cashier. Horrible wait time. Three different signs on the menu advertising Shrimp, then after five minutes of waiting to even be acknowledged at the drive thru, they have no shrimp but haven't removed the signs.

Love there food . service the lady was so friendly and nice wish everyone was nice as her she went the extra mile on her job will look for her next time wish I got her name I hope god bless her very nice person.

Today you have lost a customer. My daughter has been getting me my lunch from at least once a week. We are finally not giving no more chances to get my order right! Today was the last straw! She ordered dark meat meal, and I got 2 wings and a breast. Come on! You guys can’t do any better than that?

Food was cold and cashier was a little rude but they were busy so I guess I understand.

They were out of fries and Pepsi syrup for the drink machine and no ice in the dining room. The staff was very friendly and helpful seem like a lack of management

Expensive Chicken and they got the cheap ads on the windows to lure the customers to come in.When you ask the cashier about what they got on the menu,they ALWAYS say that either the price went UP or they DON'T have what you want!! They are LUCKY,they got a 1 star rating,BECAUSE they do not deserve that!!!

My husband went to pick up 2 dinners (3 piece & 3 chicken tenders).Took FOREVER to get to the window.They charged almost $22.00Didn't give him a receipt.When he got home.....sides were missing (rice, coleslaw, biscuits) from the boxes. The extra red beans & rice container had 1/2 container of food///rice was HARD (maybe uncook... very nasty.Chicken (tasted good): but Chicken Tenders tasted OLD (nasty).I called Popeyes to tell what happened...they said "where's your.receipt??? My husband told her....you never gave me one!!!"LESSON LEARNED!!!!!

Another fast food place that is not so fast. The ppl behind the counter would rather gossip than help customers.

The chicken is great but the sides leave a lot to be desired. Just go with the mashed potatoes and gravy. The staff is up and down, I think it just depends on who it's working any given shift, some are nice some are just not.

The drive through line was only three cars long, but I was expecting an accident up by the window because it took so long. Even after I pulled up to the speaker menu, I had to wait so long my wife actually selected what she wanted from the menu before the woman asked. They were out of the strawberry cream pies. They gave us a partial order at the window and asked us to pull up and wait for the rest. We were waiting for the shrimp, but they held the entire meal, including the drink. They could have given us the sweet tea to drink while we waited. After receiving our shrimp meal we drove to adjacent gas station, as I had already finished my chicken sandwich, I would pump gas while my wife ate her shrimp. But my wife had to walk back to Popeyes to ask for cocktail sauce they forgot to put in the bag. Two Stars given because they forgot to ring up the chicken sandwich and the red velvet cake is pretty delicious.

Really great random experience.. Had other bussiness in plataka that day and traveled over from st.augustine..parkiing lot and building was clean..walked inside clean dinning room and bathrooms. Greated and order was taken fast..order was packaged and ready fast.The best chicken i ever had! .just right! Red beans and rice was perfect.. Biscuit could have been better...build one of these in st.augustine? A good experence overall and would go back anytime i am in the area..update 2nd trip. Still the best..perfect shrimp too..

I gave in to the hype and tried a Popeyes chicken sandwich. Nah. You can keep it. I'll take Chick Fil A all day. Popeyes chicken breading was just that...breading. No flavor. It had mayo. The chicken was moist which was nice and the bun was ok. But I prefer Chick Fil A. And the fries dont even compare. These were seasoned straight fries.

Always good...not a very healthy choice but yummy fried chicken.

Sucks...popeyes and kfc worst chicken in town...publix has the best...

Patiently waited months for that famous chicken sandwich, will never eat another one, it was disgusting.......

You must leave at least a 1 star to qualify. If I could leave less I would. Nothing worse than a place to eat that has no soap or towels in the restroom.

The tenders meal was very good! I used a coupon for $4.99! I went to try the chicken sandwich but to my avail they didn't have any! There was a sign that said that it would return soon!😏

Throw the whole store away We pulled up to the speaker and waited 3 minutes while they were having a whole conversation, when we asked if we could order and she finally answered. They were out of shrimp, when we pulled up to the window I asked for cocktail sauce and the worker said “but you got sandwiches” with and attitude, instead of cocktail sauce she gave us tarter sauce. They gave us the wrong side for one of our meals and the fries were cold, they made us pull forward and wait for the rest of our food, and the sandwiches were not cooked thoroughly. Their attitude were on 100/10 do not recommend

This location ALWAYS serves hot and fresh. It takes a little longer to get my order but I know my food will be hot!

Credit card machine not working. Did not answer drive up window. Pullup to window staff appeared collected and chatting. Two staff looked at us and turned away. A third one finally came to window and said she told us " just a minute" we didnt hear her. Our eight piece chicken only contained seven pieces. Will skip this place in the future

I had to wait FOREVER and after all that I had purchased a 16 PC dinner. I'll have you know we got old burnt wings and not one drumstick. I have 6 kids. They were devastated. Sooo enter at your own risk.

Nothing wrong with Popeyes. Right across the street from KFC and we have a Zaxbys down the road, all good options for your fried chicken hankerings...

Love the red beans and rice but could be a little bit larger serving. Chicken was good and hot.

The chicken sandwich is the bomb! I hope they keep them on the menu for good! Even though the drive thru was busy, it moved pretty fast! If you haven't tried this sandwich you need to get you one!!

I had the classic chicken sandwich, which is also available as the spicy chicken sandwich. It's a big, thick hunk of fried chicken breast on a bun with pickles and for my money is essentially identical to the chicken sandwich at Chick-fil-A. It tastes the same, really good, is the same size and even comes in the same kind of little foil pouch.Things I did not like:*The iced tea was not very good.*Place could have been cleaner.*Sides are not very good.*Things like straws and forks are very poorly organized, hard to reach and put you in the way of people trying to get ice and drinks.It got four stars on the strength of that classic chicken sandwich, which you really need to try.

I have been here several times. They have ALWAYS been out of their chicken biscuits and today I waited at the drive thru for 45 minutes. I was told once I got up to the speaker to wait. After 45 minutes I asked if I could order... He said, "Umm, ya." Five cars were behind me and he just forgot.... Everything I asked to order they were out of. Completely awful service, awful employees and always out of everything. I will never go back there again and they just opened....

For a place that sells chicken they never have any cooked and a seven minute wait ended up being a 20 minute wait. But the chicken was good when we finally got it.
